Nuopo C022D 2.1 Speaker System + wireless remote + iPod Docking Review

November 15th, 2007 by Anthony

This is just plain cool. A nice white finish, white speaker domes and a blue LED light. The Satellites look great, the subwoofer looks amazing and it’s not just the appearance that will knock you off your feet. At a massive combined output of 50W, this set-up is loud, and Nuopo knows it! In addition to this, this speaker system also has a USB input IPod Docking Station built into it, as well as 2 audio ports for standard MP3 players, meaning you can listen to your favourite tracks without having to even turn your computer on.

Nuopo Speaker system + Ipod Docking Station

OK, so we know it looks good, we know it’s loud, and we know it can plug straight into your MP3 player, but what else makes it so special? The frequency range for starters is very wide, ranging from 50Hz to 18KHz - That’s almost the same as human hearing! The satellites are a good 24cm tall and 7cm wide, giving them a nice wide range to spread frequencies out crisp and clean.

Another thing, the subwoofer actually has the ability to adapt, if you like your music at a set volume, you can set the subwoofer to the volume and store it, so every time you turn it on, it will be at the correct level. What makes this even better is that it’s all done by remote control, how easy can life get?

Nuopo C012 2.1 Subwoofer Speaker System + Wireless Remote Review

November 15th, 2007 by Anthony

Right, PCs are highly common now, and so is PC modification. People like the idea of building their own computer because it means they get the specifications they need, whether it be for gaming, watching films, or just listening to music. The new thing with PC modification is a sleek, black case with colourful little lights. Now, we know what would work well with these kind of cases - A set of speakers in a sleek, black case with colourful little lights!

Nuopo c012 2.1 subwoofer speaker system + remote

The design itself is simple, but looks fantastic, and at a combined output of 25W, you wont be disappointed. It has aluminium domes, small back stands, and a minor tilt on the satellites all providing a great look and even better sound. The subwoofer really makes the design of this set-up, with the neon blue LED light at the centre, and the remote receiving port above it, it looks so simple, you can’t get enough of it.

And to make things even better for you, rather than reaching across to sort out all of your bass, treble and volume levels, it is even easier by using the silver remote control.

Nuopo C003 2.1 Speakers with built in FM Radio Review

November 15th, 2007 by Anthony

With a sleak black case, and a hint of white around the edges, you must agree - this speaker set-up looks pretty cool. For starters, the satellites look just like smaller versions of the subwoofer, giving a consistancy. The subwoofer itself is the main unit, having the control buttons on the side so you can adjust the volume, bass and treble to get the right sound for you. The edges are a misty silver/white colour, giving a great cross between dark and light colour.

The satellites are actually tiny, but don’t let that fool you, they’ve got it where it counts! Both combined together add up to 10W of output power, but still remain clear and calm. The soft felt is designed to block out bad frequencies, so that you get the clearest of the clearest sounds - And add the 10W of power from the satellites to the 15W the subwoofer provides, then you’ve got a fair amount of volume, without any loss of quality.

The built in FM radio is another key feature to this set-up, not only can you listen to your favourite CDs in great sound quality, if you decide you want a little information on whats happening around you, you can tune into your local radio station with the click of a button.

Nuopo 2.1 Wooden Speaker System with Subwoofer 200w PMPO + FM Radio Review

November 15th, 2007 by Anthony

OK, so this computer speaker system is different, it’s not black, it’s not shiny, the satellites do not have aluminium domes and lets face it, it just looks old! But still, you can’t deny it, Nuopo have made old look good. The nice wood effect on this set-up gives off a warm and gentle feel, making it much more suitable for the home, what it does have however, like many others is the calming blue LED light around the control button, letting you know whether it’s switched on or not. With the quality of these speakers, you’ll be astonished to hear that the subwoofer only provides a minuscule 8W of power.

Altogether, the frequency range this combination can provide is 60Hz - 18KHz - That’s almost human hearing! And it’s amazing to think that kind of technology can be inside something so small.

This system also has a built in FM radio, meaning if you don’t fancy listening to one of your Cd’s and you haven’t got time to watch a film, but would like that background music, you can just flick the radio on and enjoy.

I really must say, these are definitely one of, if not the best set of budget computer speaker systems i know of. After all, for under £20 and you will get a crisp, clean sound, an amazing frequency range, built in FM radio all inside this warm, wooden design. That’s got to be a bargain!

Nuopo 2.1 Speaker System with Subwoofer 200w PMPO Review

November 15th, 2007 by Anthony

Never underestimate the creativity involved in creating computer speaker systems, here we have a prime example of style. It doesn’t look like much, but that’s the point, nowadays, people don’t want things visible, cluttering up space in which they think looks far better empty. This smart little set-up is designed for exactly those people, not only are they small, they are also black, making them suit any environment much easier. Although the power isn’t high, with only 8W coming out of the subwoofer, the quality still remains amazing, which is where it really counts.

The light felt cover is designed to create an ‘anti-pop.’ Meaning loud bass frequencies are dampened to create a clear, crisp sound, rather than the sounds of your speakers peaking. Even though, you can control this from the subwoofer, with the volume and bass control, the screens provide extra protection, meaning your satellites will come to much less harm.

Although these aren’t the greatest speakers i’ve heard, i must say, for the price, they are more than worth the effort. They are fantastic for background music when friends are over, playing games on your computer, or just watching DVDs.

Hercules 40W RMS 2.1 Subwoofer Speaker System Review

November 15th, 2007 by Anthony

With an RMS of 40W, this is a nice little speaker system to have for your personal computer, a 20W subwoofer and 2 10W Satellites, this system is capable of so much. Both speakers have built in aluminium speaker domes, meaning frequencies pass through much clearer and provide a warmer sound to the ear. Helping you enjoy it much much more. The left speaker is the main unit, with the control button located under the second dome, and a small blue LED light to tell you whether it is on or off. You can also control the volume from your subwoofer, as well as increasing the bass, to get the right sound for you.

Hercules 40w RMS Speaker SystemThe angle the speakers are tilted at are also part of the reason why they sound so great. Although it sounds weird, speakers are never suppose to be placed parallel to a flat surface, because of bad frequencies bouncing back through the domes.

The design itself is very simple. 1 black subwoofer, 2 silver satellites and 4 silver speaker domes. The cross between the silver and black work very well indeed, and give a more sophisticated yet, modern feel to the user.
