This month we celebrate our tenth birthday! ITexpress opened up in November 1999 and little did we know what we would be doing ten years later. Having started as a small retail shop, we now look after the IT systems of more than 100 businesses in Goole, Howden, Hull, Scunthorpe, and the surrounding area.
For our tenth birthday we thought we would roll out a new logo and corporate style, and this article looks back at the logos we have used over the past ten years, and announces our new one of course, which will be rolled out over the next month or so.

This is the logo we used when we started the business. It was created by Andy, and the idea at the time was world domination! We had a globe and the idea of speed. We always wanted to provide rapid service and support. Although it looks a little dated now, we were still one of the first to start using our website address in the logo.
In 2002 we commissioned this logo from Two Heads Marketing. They gave us a great logo which was a lot more vivid in colour and also used a more modern font (myriad pro). In concept terms we wanted to show that we have retail and business customers, but we still kind of liked the globe. We still like this logo, but it really only works on a white background. We registered this ITexpress trademark in 2007.
In 2008 we redesigned our websites and switched to a coloured header. To simplify the logo we just used the ITexpress text and used the vivid blues as a background. It wasn’t a new logo, but was really a way of brightening up the websites. We also used the text for our uniforms.
And so to 2010 and our new logo. This has been designed by Andy and is our attempt at simplifying what we do and putting the customer at the centre of our business. The globe is still there which represents the customer, and the smaller moons or satellites represent the services we provide to our customers. It is a simpler, more understated logo than before, which seems to be the trend among many designers at the moment.
Our logo has gone through some changes in the last ten years, just as our business has. What will the next ten years bring?
