Boothferry Golf Club was designed by the legendary modern-day golf course architect, Donald Steel; it is one of the most enjoyable meadowland courses in Yorkshire, popular with many visiting golfers.
It is situated in Boothferry which is 3 miles north of Howden off the M62 Junction 36.
This established course in a tranquil setting within the Vale of York is a pleasing test featuring natural dykes that occasionally provide additional challenges on a number of holes!
Beware the spectacle bunkers on the seventh, miss club here and you may have serious problems! The par 3 fifth, a delightful example of Steel’s majesty when it comes to course design, is played over a pond which was originally constructed to hold water ballast for the R100 airship built on this site.
